You May Have Been Notified About a DSI Image Telemetry Issue
If you recently received a notice from DSI about a telemetry issue affecting systems sold from our store or re-imaged with a DSI Windows 11 Image, we’ve developed a simple fix to resolve the problem. This issue caused unrelated trending search terms, which may have included mature or suggestive content, to appear in the Windows search box under the “Recent” section. These terms were not the result of user activity on your system but were inadvertently propagated by Microsoft’s telemetry system.
We sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused. Below, you’ll find a link to download the fix and step-by-step instructions to apply it. Even if you’re unsure whether your system is affected, it’s safe to run the fix. The software will check your system and indicate if the fix is not needed, ensuring no unnecessary changes are made.
About the Fix
What It Does:
Removes the unrelated search terms from the Windows search box.
Clears the search history to ensure a clean slate.
Generates a new unique system identifier to prevent future issues.
Disables telemetry to protect your privacy going forward.
Safety:
The fix will not affect your personal files, settings, or applications.
It includes a check to determine if your system is affected. If not, the software will notify you that no changes are needed and exit without making modifications.
We’ve confirmed that no personal identifiable user data (e.g., files, passwords) was exposed by this issue.
Compatibility:
Designed for systems running Windows 11 (all editions).
Safe to run on any Windows 11 system, even if it wasn’t purchased from DSI or re-imaged by us.

If your system is not affected (e.g., it doesn’t have the shared system identifier), the fix will display: “This system does not require the security patch. No changes will be made. Press any key to close.” In this case, no further action is needed, and your system will not reboot.

Fix Doesn’t Run:
Ensure you’re running the fix on a Windows 11 system. If the fix doesn’t launch, try downloading it again from the link above, as the file may have been corrupted during download.
