Data recovery can be somewhat of an art. It's one of those things that would seem like a logical process to accomplish, but once you get knee deep things can quickly change.
Essentially, data recovery is an effort to acquire data that is otherwise unobtainable via traditional means. In other words data that you cannot access as you normally would. This can be the case for a few different reasons and thus this service is divided into 3 categories or 'tiers' if you will.
When we consider your data for recovery we start with a diagnostic. Before we can begin recovery we absolutely need to know what tier recovery will be required.
Once we know a tier for recovery our next step is to notify you. It is completely up to you whether we continue the service at this point. Data recovery pricing varies drastically from tier to tier. We will never put you in a position where you would owe a substantial amount of money for service that you didn't agree to. If you don't wish to continue with recovery all you would owe is $34.95 for the diagnostic.
At this point recovery wouldn't be suggested unless we felt strongly that success was a real possibility. However, if we are not successful at recovery of the data, you still only owe the diag cost.
