A diag or diagnostics is by far the most popular service DSI provides to it's residential customers. Usually this is because customers may not know exactly what the trouble might be or sometimes folks prefer to know in advance everything that may be troubling their equipment before they commit to a service that may not completely solve the issue(s). Our diagnostics service is a read only service, meaning we will not make any changes to your system without first obtaining your approval.

The benefit of our diagnostic service is a full gamut of deep testing. We check for hardware problems and failures by testing individual components independently. We check for software and operating system corruption. We check for malware and virus activity. We check for heat issues. We look for hardware that may be showing signs of upcoming failure. Also, often forgotten or neglected by other solution providers, we replicate the reported issue(s). If the issue cannot be replicated how can an intelligent solution be suggested? 

We run a full system analysis to determine...

  • If the system is in fact repairable.
  • If the system is covered by warranty.
  • What the cost of a resolution would be.
  • If it makes sense monetarily to proceed with a resolution.
  • Alternative solutions to offer you. 

Most importantly, our customers appreciate that we waive the diagnostic charge if we are requested to complete a resolution service. In other words, when we determine the problem and you want us to 'fix' the problem, you won't be billed for the diag.

We will never take it upon ourselves to resolve the problem without first talking to you about options and making sure you understand what those options are and what they could mean to you.
