A secure connection is encrypted from your browser to this server. We hold the key. Nobody in between can read what you send.
A service such as Cloudflare sits in the middle. Your browser encrypts the session to them, not to us. They decrypt it on their machine, where what you sent is readable, then encrypt a second connection to our server. That is a decryption and a re-encryption. Each hop is still encrypted, but the third party can read the message.
We do not put anyone in that position. This check runs on our server. Your connection ends here.
